Description: This listing is for a nice 14 karat yellow gold pendant featuring a pear shape natural peridot and a round full brilliant cut natural mélange diamond, plus a 14 karat yellow gold chain. The peridot measures 11.7 - 7.9 x 5.2 mm with an actual weight of 3.13 carats. It is not eye clean in clarity with some significant inclusions and some "paperwear"; surface nicks from being in a parcel paper with other gems. The gem is well cut and still "pops", though, showing off its nice, bright yellowish green color! This is a wonderful, natural gemstone that is 100% unenhanced and untreated! Peridot is August's birthstone, but this piece is a joy to own and wear regardless of your birth month! The diamond has actual weight of 0.05 carat. This is a really nice little stone graded at G color (near colorless) and SI-1 clarity (eye clean) and is of good overall cut. Like the peridot, the diamond is 100% genuine, natural, untreated and unenhanced. The pendant hangs on a 14K yellow gold pendant style rope chain that was purchased from Quality Gold of Cincinnati. The chain is finished to 18 inches in length and is held with a spring ring clasp. The pendant itself is generic and unbranded. It measures 19.2 x 8 mm and weighs 1.75 grams. The chain can easily be changed, and the bail will accept up to about a 1.4 mm diameter chain without alteration. The chain weighs 0.53 grams for a total weight of the piece of approximately 2.28 grams. The pendant mounting and chain are both solid 14 karat yellow gold, new, and unworn; don't be duped into buying a gold-plated piece or someone else's worn-out castoff!
