This 2014 ornament is the first two-piece Ornament comprised of two pieces. It shows the locomotive with the associated to the coal car, which pulled the Superb Pullman car on which President Harding rode and made speeches at the various stops. The two pieces can be hooked and used as a single ornament or can be used separately as two ornaments. Both pieces are decorated with gold tones and enamel finish. They come in their original box with a 4-page booklet that outlined the history of the train and President Harding, our 29th president. The ornaments are in their original box and are in lightly used condition. They are beautiful and intact and would make a great addition to you collection. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Size:The locomotive measures approximately 3 1/2" long, ~7/8" at its highest, and is ~3/8" wide. The Pullman "Superb" car is ~3 1/4" long, ~3/4" high, and is ~3/8" wide. The box itself is ~6" by ~5 1/4" and is ~7/8" high. Condition: The two ornaments are intact with no breaks or repairs. They both show no losses of enamel, are clean, and scratch free. The locomotive and coal carriage piece has a slight curvature where the locomotive and the coal car meat. We are not certain if this is original to the piece or occurred during use. However, this is very subtle and really does not affect the quality r beauty of the piece. It is mentioned here for completeness. The box as well as the pamphlet are in good condition. Both are intact showing minor wear if any, but has no tears, no rips, and no repairs.
