Description: Revmax Streetrods MOUNTING KIT FOR YOUR GILMER BELT DRIVE This is a new Billet Aluminum Mounting Bracket Kit for a Big Block Chevy (396-454) Motor using a Standard GM or aftermarket 1-Wire Alternator. This bracket kit is designed for use with the Gilmer Belt Drives available on eBay that come with a 40 ½" belt. If you purchased a Gilmer Belt and Pulley set for your BBC, only to get it and realize it is a Universal Set, and it didn't really line up with anything... then this is the kit you need to finish your installation. You will need to purchase a Gilmer Belt Drive for a BBC with a long water pump that comes with a 40 ½" belt. What this kit will do for you: Moves the alternator pivot to the bottom hole on the head. This lowers your alternator slightly from the factory mounting position and allows for a proper fit and adjustment of the Gilmer belt.Includes a ¾" aluminum spacer that goes behind the Gilmer crank drive pulley. This aligns the crank pulley with the water pump pulley. It also lines up the V-groove on the crank drive pulley with the power steering pump. This allows you to use a factory power steering pump bracket or a Revmax-Streetrods BBC long pump power steering bracket.I will admit... this is a bit of a novelty item.... but after we installed it with the proper hardware and spacers, it really does look awesome! All required mounting hardware is supplied with this kit: 7/16" to 3/8" GM style stud with custom aluminum spacer and stainless nut for the alternator pivot.(3) Grade 5 bolts with stainless washers to mount crank pulley. (We supply what we have found to be the most common length, depending on your harmonic balancer, you may need to get shorter or longer bolts).¾" thick Billet aluminum spacer to fit between crank drive pulley and harmonic balancer.Beautiful brushed satin finish billet aluminum bracket with all required mounting hardware.
