What we sellPrinted with PLA offers life-size scale and excellent strength and durability. Both swords are made in sections glued together due to the limitations of printers on the market (the joints are clearly visible if you look closely). Both swords have a steel rod inside that provides the necessary rigidity. You can choose between the swords used in the first movie or the ones used in the second movie (both swords measure approximately the same and fit perfectly in the scabbards). No paint has been used on this item, instead silver, red and black filament has been used depending on the version you choose. The backpack has two attachment points on each side to pass straps to hang it on the back (straps are not included in the package). ImprovementsWe have received several opinions from our customers about the quality of this item, so we have worked on correcting the previous defects. This new version comes to replace the previous one with new improvements at the same price:* Wider blades and ends, now the sword is thicker which increases its rigidity and resistance.* Without supports, the pieces are printed without supports so that they do not leave ugly marks when removed.* Wider scabbards, we added more slack to the scabbards to prevent the swords from jamming inside.* Discreet seams, we moved the seams to the back of the blade so they are less visible.* No more glue is needed, in this version it is not essential to glue the pieces of the scabbard, just join them making some pressure, the friction will prevent it from coming loose, however we still include a small bottle of glue for those customers who want to use it (we recommend it if you plan to use it in a cosplay). Shipping and assembly* The product is shipped in two separate packages to prevent damage during shipping. * To assemble, simply insert the two end parts of the scabbard as a continuation of the sections that emerge from the backpack. If you want a permanent bond you can use the glue supplied to join the pieces together. Insert the scabbard initially without glue to make sure they fit together perfectly, once you have checked that they fit smoothly, remove them and apply a few drops of glue to the inside of the scabbard and press the pieces together (Do not delay this process too long as the glue is fast drying and will stick the pieces together before you can fully join them creating a weak bond). * Avoid using too much glue so as not to damage the piece, also be careful not to get your fingers caught in the process. * Assembly is simple and intuitive, but if you have any doubt about it do not hesitate to contact us and we will help you in the process. Before you buy* 3D printing is not an exact science, there is no perfect finish, usually the lines between layers are noticeable in the models, as well as some support marks and seams. Our team works to minimize these defects in every product, however they can still be there. * If you are not familiar with the finish of 3D printing pieces we advise you to look for some reference images on the internet before purchasing.* Keep away from excessive heat, such as inside your car in the sun for a long time to avoid deformation of the model.
