DIRECTIONS: Transplant immediately into rich potting soil in a large pot (6 inch size or larger). Do not plant too shallow. Plant them as deep in the soil as possible (roots should be about 2" below soil level). Water well then keep the soil moist but not saturated (well drained). Keep in bright INDIRECT sunlight until established (at least a month) then move gradually into full sun. Keep them potted for at least 2 months so the root structure can further develop. Outside planting is recommended only in early spring. If your soil is poor, mix it half and half with potting soil. Use a general fertilizer after established according to package directions. They make goreous hanging baskets and flower beds. Good cover in shady areas where grass no longer grows. Bright yellow flowers are a nice contrast to the dark green veletly foliage.They generally die back to the ground after a freeze but, Wedelia will recover very quickly and return to it’s lush appearance. They require lots of water when young to help establish this blooming ground cover quickly. They will exaggerate thirst through dramatic wilting when too dry, often perking back up within fifteen minutes of receiving a drink. They are drought tolerant once established.
