The flame-polishing smooths the cuts, which strengthens them, making the glass safer, and increases diffusion / percolation. (1) Single Glass Bead will be included. The purpose of the Bead is to be placed in the Downstem, prior to use. This will plug the bottom hole, forcing air to pass through the flame-polished cuts, which maximizes diffusion / percolation.- VERITCAL CUT:These custom hand-made Downstems feature 6 flame-polished Vertical cuts. The flame-polishing smooths the cuts, which strengthens them, making the glass safer, and increases diffusion / percolation. (1) Single Glass Bead will be included.
