Tickshield is family-safe and pet-friendly when used as directed. Tickshield is only recommended for dogs over 20 lbs. For smaller dogs and cats, go with Cedarcide Original instead. How often should I apply? Apply before outdoor activities that could expose you or your pets to biting bugs. Reapply every 5–7 hours or after getting wet. See “Instructions” on the label for more details. Can it be used outdoors as well as indoors? While you can apply Tickshield to people and pets outdoors, as well as spray bugs directly on hard surfaces, Tickshield is not plant safe, so exercise caution when using it around grass or other greenery.
