This unique looking end grain cutting board is made by using rustic Cherry that may have some light and dark spots. Rustic Cherry lumber cost less than furniture grade lumber so I can sell them for less. A great conversation piece. End grain construction is more durable than a regular edge grain cutting board. It keeps your knives much sharper and your blades lasting longer. Instead of crushing against the wood fibers, the blade of the knife goes between them much like cutting into a firm brush.
