Description: This listing is for (5) VINTAGE chandelier CANDLE SOCKET COVERS that are made out of METAL that I think looks to be brass. Also included are (5) heavy cardboard insert covers. I bought these many, many years ago to use on a chandelier and just never used them. Now we're preparing to downsize and I just found them and thought they could be useful to someone who was looking for a higher quality material than just the plastic ones that many chandeliers come with. I have always been a fan of using high quality materials and while these need painting they are definitely made out of a good sturdy metal and would be good for a very long time. What appealed to me about them was that they were heavy (each weighs 1.4 ounces), made out of metal that wouldn't bend and could be easily painted or embellished/antiqued for a "custom" look. They definitely need to be painted as you will see from my pictures and I think they could be easily sprayed or hand painted. They are each 4" tall with an approximate interior diameter of 3/4" and an exterior diameter of 7/8". I am not an electrician so I cannot attest to any safety issues. The cardboard insert does say they are rated at 75W but you be the judge. I have taken pictures of them and ask that you please look at my pictures as they are part of the description.
