Description: These plants are available in smaller amounts for around $3.00 each. I also have smaller plants available for less money. Feel free to message with your desired order. Most any number and size plants are available. This listing is for past and future customers to be able to reach us and place orders without having make multiple listings that may not be exactly what you are looking for. The plants you will receive will be no smaller than the plants in the pictures. They are now in there semi Dormant period. The plants grow year round but slow down in the fall iand winter when the daylight hours shorten. The leaves and traps shorten and lay flat on the soil surface. They will not grow the larger taller traps again until spring. The llisting is for 500 Bare root semi Dormant Rhizomes with the traps and leaves still attached. The plants are all blooming size Rhizomes. The plants were originally seed grown and now propagated from division of larger plants. None are propigated from tissue culture. The plants are all native naturally occurring North Carolina plants. All of the plants are slightly different. Some may be all lime green, some regular with lighter red traps and some with darker red traps. Some of the plants are named types but I do not separate them out or add in more of one type. The 36 are completely random. As the plants mature and are in more light they will start to show more of their true colors. All the plants in the pictures have closed traps from being pulled and washed but still show some color difference.. The plants you will receive will look the same. They will be wrapped in a damp paper towel and put in a zip lock bag so they do not dry out. I grow them in as much sun as possible. I have them in a green house and also have additional artificial lighting to encourage them to grow during the winter. I grow them in 72 call trays and sitting in about 1/2" of water at all times. They are grown in straight peat moss with no additives like fertilizers or other soil. All plants are at least 3 years old from divisions of stock plants. Not from tissue culture. You can encourage them to grow with additional lighting. They need a daylight equivalent amount of light and about 10 hours a day to stay actively growing. You can also use a liquid plant food but it is easy to kill the plant with to much fertilizer. Start with about 10 percent of the recommended label rate. Any questions feel free to ask. Thanks for looking.
