The diamond really comes alive in this setting. It is a lovely hand forged three stone halo ring. The center diamond simply pops in the setting and the side stones add a lovely contrast in color. I love the "floating halo" design of the ring - beautiful and comfortable to wear. This is a beautiful hand forged halo setting. This ring will definitely stand out in the crowd. More details about the center stone Pure orange and diamonds is as rare as pink. A big difference is that there is many variations of orange and brown that exist that are quite reasonably priced. This is because brown is one of the least expensive colors and natural fancy colored diamonds. This, is an orange diamond. The yellow is saving us...... you know what, you are not going to believe this number when you read it. I mean, a reasonable person would expect what... double, triple? Nope. If this diamond was Fancy Vivid Orange, without the yellow, it would probably be about 10 times the price. That's right, 10 times the price. The color is really exciting when you see it. This is made more so by the beautiful cut, and extremely bright nature of the particular rough that was cut into this diamond. It's just an "happy" diamond. Very brilliant and bright. Tons of sparkle. The diamond manages to project all that color, with no fluorescence whatsoever. I love the cut, it's a very pleasing shape. We purchased the diamond with the GIA color, origin report. That means there's no clarity grade on it. Since I started to learn how to grade diamonds when Jimmy Carter was president, I handle that task around here. This is a good time to reiterate the concept of clarity grading. The clarity grade does not have to do with the visibility of the imperfection, rather the presence of the imperfection. What this means, is that a tiny black pinpoint which may cause the diamond to be graded VS2 clarity could be seen with the naked eye in some stones. On the other hand a diamond which is I1 in clarity, may have an imperfection which has no perceptible effect on the brilliance of the diamond and in fact cannot be seen by the naked eye. This is that type of diamond. Even knowing where the imperfection is, it is hard to see in the photos.
