Description: This is a vintage gas Camping Lantern dating from the late 1940's to the early 1950's and made by American Gas Machine Co or AGM. Model is the 5016 READY-LITE. It's a small stature single mantle lantern standing 12" tall. Burgandy/maroon porcelain Vent is nice with just a little chipping on the lower rim edge. The nickel-plated brass Fount has no dents. Some of the plating has flaked off leaving the brass to show through. It has its rare original READY LITE etched globe. On the back of the globe, and hard to see, is etched, GLASS BAKE PATENTED USA. A very nice original example. Guaranteed to please the new owner or I'll buy it back. Check my Feedback.
