Description: This is an antique American sterling silver serving spoon by the famous silversmiths, Towle. It is in the ornate Empire pattern, introduced in 1894. It has a fancy pierced bowl. It is about 6-5/8" long. Maker's marks: "Sterling" and has the old fancy T 925/1000 hallmark for Towle. It is also stamped with the retailers names, Coleburn and Lauder. Weight: about 22.3 grams. Engraving: "W" on the front of the handle. Condition: Some overall light surface wear and a little tarnish, not too much.
