Description: CONDITION: One dish has a small chip on the under side edge. It is hardly noticeable. There are no other defects. See last 2 photos. The chip does not show on the top edge. These 6 porcelain dessert dishes were produced in Germany by the Franziska Hirsch Dresden studio in the 1890s. They measure /4 inches square and are 1 1/2 inches deep. The borders of the bowls are ruffled. They are beautifully hand painted in the Meissen style with bucolic scenes of lovers in garden landscapes. There are sprigs of vibrantly colored flowers scattered around these scenes. Elaborate gilding trims the borders, giving them a lacy, frilly look. Each dish has a different scene. The workmanship and quality of detail abounds in these delightful dishes. #C868 Please do not bid if you do not intend to pay. You will be blocked from further purchases.
