Description: These are large individual skeins of 100% silk yarn from Switzerland. It is a soft yarn more like wool/silk blends. Each skein is 25 grams, at a length of 1250 yds/lb., this comes out to about 69 yards per skein. It is a two-ply yarn that is not divisible. My wife says this will be suitable for needlepoint on 14 Ct. canvas (or larger) , or in use in long stitches on 18 Ct. canvas. The color I labeled as "ecru" could be called white, off-white or ecru. It is not what DMC calls "snow white", however. I will combine orders for shipping, and will ship at cost of postage plus cost of an envelope or box. In this case, the cost of shipping one skein will be the same for 2 or 3 (of this item).
