Description: Seven 1945 to 1952 Tin toys in display case w/ key Marked D. R. G. M. Germany, Occupied Japan 1. 3 Dexterity puzzles from Germany. All 3 are 2 1/8” diameter and have mirrored backs but the silvering is damaged. A. The pinball one has 5 balls and is embossed “DRGM” and “Germany” on the rim. B. The man with glasses is marked “D.R.G.M.” and “Made in Germany” on the playing surface. C. The dog is marked “Made in Occupied Japan” on the playing surface. The object is to get the eyes and eyebrows in place. 2. Dexterity baseball puzzle. “Bases Loaded” 2 ½” x 3 ½” The object is to get balls in the dimples of each base. Very good paint on casing. Excellent paint on playing surface. 3. Small tin tank “Tank Corps No. 57” on both sides. Nice paint. 1 ¾” 4. G Men tin car. 6 men facing in 4 windows. Mark “Japan” on trunk. Wear, paint loss, dings. Metal wheels. 3” 5. “United Parcel Service” on both sides and “We Deliver the Goods” on top of tin truck. “Elvin Japan” on bumper. Rubber wheels. Excellent paint. 3” Display case with skeleton key looks nice from 5’ away. Upon closer inspection it appears it originally had a plate on the front. The inside is covered by an unsecured, loose piece of billiard baize. Beneath that are the remains of foam. The drawer has a recessed space in the center. The drawer has dowels to prevent it from sliding out. These dowels are accessible above the drawer can be removed to allow the drawer to be removed. There is a piece missing underneath one edge on the back of the case. (See picture.) The case looks like hardwood but I think it is a composite. It is a nice display for the toys or anything else.
