77 Pc Rose China (Noritake) Porcelain Occupied Japan 10 Settings + Serving Pcs

Description: Offered is a 77 piece set of Rose China, Occupied Japan, that was made by Noritake just after World War 2. Noritake china manufactured between 1948 and 1953 was stamped with 'Occupied Japan' under the back stamp. Noritake was concerned that the quality of their work was not up to their very highest standards because, due to the war, they were not able to acquire their typical kaolin from which their porcelain was made. They used the Rose China back stamp until 1953 when they were able to return to their original kaolin and their original back stamp. This set is in very good condition with only one very small glaze chip in the gold trim area of a soup bowl. Otherwise there are no chips, cracks, crazing, hard utensil marks, stains, or damage. All gold trim is very good. The pattern is somewhat in the style of Dresden. This set has been stored in a china cabinet for many decades, all glazes are bright and bold with no loss or fade.
