87-93 Mustang Master Cylinder Brake Line Adapter to use 1993 Cobra MC Install

Each kit comes with 3 separate items (2 x brake tubes + 3-port connector) as seen in the photos along with an instruction set making for easy brake system integration. This kit will allow you to use a 93 Cobra MC or similar MC on the 87-93 Mustang models. This kit does not come with a master cylinder {Pictures show connected to MC for representation of how it hooks up} Question: What is this kit for, what does it do? In short it allows you to install a 1993 Cobra or 94/95 GT MC to the 87-93 Mustang This kit allows owners of the 1987-1993 Mustang the ability to install a newer 2 port brake master cylinder in place of the original 3 port MC. Upgrading your system with a different master cylinder is necessary to retain normal brake pedal effort, pedal travel, modulation and brake operation when upgrading brake system components such as adding rear brake calipers (in place of drum brakes), new upgraded front brake calipers or the entire brake system (SN95 brake components). The original 87-93 MC is not capable of supplying enough volume for the new brake calipers. If you leave your original MC in place you will have a spongy pedal along with excessive brake pedal travel. Newer style brake master cylinders only have 2 brake ports. The original 87-93 Mustang uses a 3 port master cylinder. Therefor you need a way to connect the 2 port MC into your brake system, in place of the original 3 port MC. A 2 port 93 Cobra MC & 94/95 GT MC are the most popular choices to be used in place of the factory 3 port MC on the 87-93 Mustang. This kit will allow you to do so. This combination is a much better MC choice provides a much better, firmer brake pedal feel when upgrading to rear disc brakes on your 87-93 Fox body Mustang. The 87-93 uses a 3 port MC and the "new style" 93 Cobra & 94/95 GT/V6 MC are all 2 port MC. Any questions just let me know. Thanks The 1987-1993 Mustang uses a brake master cylinder that has 3 ports for connecting to the brake system plumbing. All the performance Master cylinders for use with rear disc brake conversions are only 2 port Master Cylinders. This kit will allow you to install a 2 port Master Cylinder with your factory brake plumbing with the least amount of trouble! These are the parts - kit that you will need when upgrading your brake system on a 1987-1993 Mustang to rear disc brakes. Will allow for the use with a newer style 2 port master cylinder. Your 87-93 master cylinder from the factory has 3 ports on it. 2 ports on the engine side position and one additional port on the bottom. This is the 3rd port that we need to make a provision for. All performance oriented master cylinders have only 2 ports. This will work with the 1993 Cobra or 1994 GT master cylinder. I have the 93 Cobra MC with a 1.00 inch bore size available in another listing if you need one. Installation is fairly simple. You may need to slightly bend the included brake lines to align & fit to your setup to get everything lined up properly. This needs to go between the rear port on the master cylinder and the rear port on your factory proportioning valve. Included in the kit is a 3-way tee fitting that will allow you to tie in your 3rd brake line that originally went to your OEM master cylinder. There you have it, a 3 port MC is now replaced by a 2 port master cylinder and you have a place to screw in your extra brake line. Your 3rd brake line will thread into the 3rd port on the round T-fitting shown in the picture with the MC attached. The 3rd port is not visible in the picture but is facing down, opposite the top fitting.
