Description: The Patch: This Auction is for 1 WWII Vintage 8th Infantry Division Flat Top shoulder patch with a white back. This patch is in good condition. It has a very nice white backing. This patch does not glow under the UV light and is guaranteed to be authentic. The History: The 8th embarked for Europe in December of 1943. They fought in the hedgegrow country of Normandy in July of 1944. They fought across Northern France and helped bring the French port of Brest into submission. After that the division moved East across France and into Luxembourg. Here they fought in the Huertgen Forest and helped capture Brandenburg. They defended a line along the Ruhr river during the Bulge, then pushed into Germany to attack the Ruhr Pocket. They finished the war near the Elbe River. Please read my auction requirements.
