This modernist ring has a design focus at its centre, with the oversized and curved concave setting, contrasting with the relatively shallow and rectangular cut Smoky Quartz. A super geometric ring to look at from all angles. With its cut, mounting, clarity and colour the Smokey Quartz appears as a delicate shade. Marks: the ring has full UK hallmarks for 9ct gold, from the London assay office. The hallmarks show that the ring was imported into the UK and assayed in 1976. It’s design has features similar to Scandinavian designs of the period and is likely made in Northern Europe. Approximate Dimensions: UK ring size M 1/2. The ring setting sits 1.7cm across the finger and though a statement ring the setting is not too high at 8mm. The Smokey Quartz is 11 x 9mm. The ring weighs 4 grams. Condition: Very good vintage condition, a little light insignificant wear only and no damage of note.
