Description: This is a second version of this rare booklet,(circa 1905) with blue covers( I have another one currently listed with purple covers) and was produced by the Colorado Midland and Midland Terminal Railroad Lines promoting the Cripple Creek District and it's CHAIN of GOLD CITIES, Cripple Creek, Victor, Anaconda, Elkton, Portland, Independence, Goldfield, Bull Hill, Eclipse, Cameron, Gillett. It measures 6" X 6 1/4" with 24 pages, and includes a detailed map of the Midland Route and the Cripple Creek Road with many photographs of the Route and famous District Gold Mines, including the Portland, Vindicator and Elkton mines. The booklet is complete and in very good + condition. I will Also include, with this booklet, a pair of unused MT Two Day Excursion tickets from Colorado Springs to Cripple Creek and return and 3 random early Cripple Creek District checks I see one other copy(blue covers) offered on Biblio Books for $375 and one other one from L. W. Currey Inc.(purple covers) for $275. Not many of these around. This auction is for the "Chain of Gold" Cities booklet only and not others pictured. Thank you.
