Description: A Superb Solid Silver Victorian, Fiddle Pattern, Salt Spoon, by George Chawner & Co. & William Adams, Assay Hallmarked, London 1852. This is an excellent, near mint spoon, which may have originally had a gilt bowl but sadly just tinted due to 175 years of polishing. It has a scrolled monogram to the top of the stem, with which looks like "WK". The spoon is 4-1/4" in length, and weighs: 13.8 grams. A lovely collectors item, or would make e a great present for someone special or as a christening or wedding gift. PS Silver is very difficult to photograph because it's reflection picks up the photographer, hence any tinging. Also, these items are not new, most are over 100 years old, some 200 and over, so will have some defects, unless they had a charmed life.
