A very fine, old German violin bow made by Johann Wilhelm Knopf ca. 1865 in Dresden, Germany with inspiration of Tourte model, branded "TOURTE" on the player's side of the stick above the frog. This bow is made for the shop of Weidlich and it is also branded "WEIDLICH LEIPZIG" on the opposite side. The button is later made. This is a VERY NICE example, suitable for a fine professional musician. The stick is dark red brown pernambuco, octagonal, strong with excellent flexibility, good balance and high level, wonderful sound. The bow is in a very fine state of preservation, ready to play with a new hair. The length of the stick is 72.8 cm and the weight is 60 g.
