Description: Great example of an early inkwell design by A W Brinkerhoff. This was called a spill proof inkwell at the time. This was probably made in the late 1800's with a pressed glass manufacturing process. It is marked "A W Brinkerhoff" on the bottom and a "Patd May 7th 1872" It is in good overall condition. I don't see any issues with the glass itself as far as chips or cracks. I did not attempt to clean the inside of the inkwell and it is definitely cloudy inside. It is about 2.25" tall. Packaged carefully and shipped via USPS Priority or Ground
