Description: Abraham Lincoln, Lithographed Satirical Anti-Lincoln Political Cartoon, 1864. "Abe Linking With His Significantly Named Cabinet". Published by M.E. Goodwin, "Entered according to Act of Congress in the year 1864 by M.E. Goodwin in the Clerk's Off of the District Court of the United States for the South District of N.Y." A remarkable rarity, we locate only two other examples, the Library of Congress, and one example (trimmed on all four sides) sold at auction in Feb. 2022 for $4,000. Size is 23 3/4 x 19 inches. Numerous old folds, light spot foxing and age toning, a museum mending tissue repair at the center fold closing a 7 inch fold separation and tear. There are a couple of marginal tears at the right margin, and script crayon text in the upper margin. See scans for text of the cartoon and condition. Shipped lightly rolled in a mailing tube by USPS Ground Advantage, postage and paid at seller's expense.
