It also describes the work of the Authentication Bureau and, in addition, provides a chapters on the adversaries of Lourdes and a rebuttal to Emile Zola and his 1894 novel ''Lourdes,'' in which Dr. Boissarie was unflatteringly portrayed in the character of Dr. Bonamy.
