Description: Item : This original oil painting on canvas was done by Italian artist Acervi Vando (1906-). Acervi did a series of paintings of this oldest market in Rome. This market is located at the Piazza di Campo de Fiori. This painting shows a wonderful contrast between the ancient stone archways and the colorful bustling marketplace underneath. The painting measures 27 1/2" by 20" and is signed A. Vando in the lower left hand corner. The painting is in fair to good condition for its age with some thin areas of canvas and 1 small 1/8" hole where the paint has chipped. There is also an indentation in the canvas of about 2" by 1 1/2" (see the photo of the back of the canvas). Overall, this is a vibrant painting and a wonderful piece of history. **To see more original paintings** - Click on the Paintings - Fine Arts category to the left of this . - Then click on the Category of your choice:- Native American, Western U.S., Eastern U.S., European, Asia & Middle East, Latin America, Sculpture I am currently listing wonderful old vintage and contemporary paintings every week on eBay.
