Condition There is no fatal damage such as broken neck, neck reset, cracked board, or peeled bracing. Over the years, the neck has settled down. I usually use Elixir light gauge, flat tuning, finger picking, so there is no excessive body bulge or rise, there is room in the saddle, and the string height is good. 12 frets above regular tuning 1-1.8mm/0.07in 6-2.6mm/0.1in The shop where I bought it was not only Martin, but also an honest shop that would reset the neck in their own workshop if the neck condition was bad when it arrived before selling it. Apparently this GE didn't need a neck reset. It is being sold as is, which makes it a very good example, even among Martins, many of which have necks that are raised when new. There are no large dents that reach the wood. (Of course there is a weather check.) Replaced with a Tor-tis pickguard (resized to fit the original dimensions) I got the original pickguard and an original pickguard of the same era and have kept both. Waverly 4065 nickel silver/ivoroid oval (ivory-look round button) The bridge pins and end pins are original mammoths (although they are unimpressive, they are not for sale and are very valuable parts, so they are important elements).
