These old production woofers are now exhibiting failures of the various adhesive bonds within the woofer. This may sound like a rattling sound or substantial distortion, especially during loud passages or a scraping sound when pressing evenly on two sides of the cone. This is for us to professionally rebuild one woofer on all AR Speakers that utilize the AR 10 inch, and AR 12 inch surround woofer. This includes the AR-2a, AR-2, AR-2x , AR-2ax, AR-3 and AR-3a. We will also reseal the cloth surround if you have the cloth surround woofer. If you plan on sending your woofer to us, do not attempt a repair prior to sending it. There may be an extra charge due to a prior attempt at repair which makes our work more difficult. THIS EBAY ORDER IS OUR TRACKING INFORMATION, PLEASE DO NOT SEND DRIVERS WITHOUT PLACING THIS ORDER. WE HAVE HAD DRIVERS SHOW UP WITH NO DOCUMENTATION. You will include your phone number, return address and PayPal address for billing the return shipping. You will purchase this service and send us your woofer. We will supply you our ship to address in Albany, NY. We will remove your existing surround, cone, spider and voice coil, re-center the voice coil in the magnetic gap,re-bond all applicable surfaces and reassemble. We will then completely test your woofer and bill you the return shipping. In the event that your damage is beyond what can be repaired, we will issue a full refund of your payment. (That has not happened yet) Our typical turnaround time is 10-14 days.To avoid surround damage in shipping, you must use some type of spacer to avoid the surround coming into direct contact with the box. We use wood spools from a craft store or from ebay (Woodpeckers 1/2' dia..x 5/8 " high) bolted to each mounting hole and then secured to a piece of plywood or heavy cardboard..
