Description: African handmade pine leaf masks from the North West of the Sabah region of Zaire. People of the Pineleaf tribe handcrafted these masks, and the grooved line patterns on the masks are often associated with Pineleaf masks, especially the female kifwebe or tshifwebe masks. The mask itself is dominated by large slanted eyes, said to be inspired by the eyes of animals. The large, slanted eyes resemble those of an African crocodile. The nose is almost always triangular, extending from the forehead and eyebrows, while the mouth always protrudes outward and has a geometric shape such as a square or rectangle.Made of wood 26.5/18.7-cm Express delivery 7 days Sold without stand
