Commentaries on line: Alan Dean Foster is one of my top 5 favorite writers, and the commonwealth books are my favorite works. These are great quick reads, you are almost done before you realize you started. Flinx & his pet dragon Pip are great heroes. Very recommended It's more of a coming-of-age novel than any of the other books in the series, and we think of Flinx as a complex young man by the end of the book, which started out with him simply perceived as a precocious boy with a flying snake. Foster's prose is straight and direct, and he's a master of creating interesting alien characters and settings. This is my favorite of all of Foster's Flinx books. In my opinion, it adds the most of the overal story of Flinx, while being a great chase story. Foster is great at depicting future worlds, and this novels provides glimpses of many keys worlds in the Commonwealth. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Buy another book and add this paperback book to the package - - - and you will save some of the shipping charge for this book (especially if the other book is a hardcover book) - - - at least in the U.S.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^______________________ {I'll always combine shipping costs and refund any excess shipping charges for multiple-copy book orders.}For all "buy it now" items, please use ADD TO CART if you plan to order more than one item at the same time.______________ WOW!
