Spalding" at upper left with return address in his hand and addressed to Chicago musician and music school founder John Leiser. Theodore Roosevelt 5-cent stamp cancelled, though cancellation bears no date. Accompanied by a modern glossy book photograph, a reproduction of a superb half-length portrait of a standing Spalding in middle age sporting three-piece suit, fiddle tucked casually under one arm (hand wielding bow) and other fist resting jauntily on hip.
