Description: Madame Alexander RARE 20" Doll CISSY POMPADOUR Spring #34400 #118/200 Only 200 Made! This beautiful doll has 3 petticoats!! Details are superb and typical for anything made by Madame Alexander. This is a Limited Edition only 200 made in 2002 depiction of France's Madame de Pompadour. This is a pre-owned item, may have slight imperfections or wear. I am showing all imperfections in photos & video, including a mild spot on her skirt and right sleeve and some spots on and in the box. This doll is in good condition. She was purchased at estate sale in her original packaging and COA. She does not have any strong odors, nor any rips or tears to costume. Hair tie was found to be broken and removed. Her hair net is still in place, ripped in back a bit. Shoes, basket and hat intact, clean without issues. Gorgeous doll!!! I love the history of Madame de Pompadour More than just a mistress, she was a well-educated woman, Madame de Pompadour was associated with French intellectuals such as Voltaire and Diderot. She was also a well-known patron of the arts, often commissioning works of art and supporting the production of porcelain and tapestry.
