Description: I carved this elk skull to resemble an alien face Poured pigmented expoxy resin for eyes, then shaped with my carver. Carved 22 spikes and fangs from white tail deer antler. The neck bone was carved from an elk antler main beam piece along with the 2 horns. The rotten flesh on its teeth was created using a latex glue and hand painted with a homemade powder wild cherry water mix and touches of black acrylic paint. The base is maple burl that was dyed using orange food coloring solution along with the wild cherry dye to resemble flames and lava I burned the bark to resemble brimstone. The burl stand piece was finished with a high-quality ename. Stands 13 inches tall and 18 inches wide from horn tip to horn tip. The headpiece was attached to the neck using a high strength expoxy resin along with the neck bone to the base. I have 40+ hours of hand carving and design into this piece
