Towns mentioned in the booklet include: ALLEGHENY -- Sparta (county seat), Twin Oaks, Roaring Gap, and Laurel Springs. ASHE -- Jefferson (county seat), Ashland, Bina, Warrensville, Crumpler, Scottsville, Smethport, Sturgills and West Jefferson. These mountain counties contain many small villages.
