You can use any sized canning jar you want - this is just the one that I used - the screw in for stability. It is 10" tall with jar; the bottom is 6" in diameter and a little over 1" deep. The Ball jar and the plastic jar are in excellent pre-owned condition - the feeder has been used and reflects that. If you like farm house decor, this is for you.
