Description: AMAZING 1860's 1/9 PLATE AMBROTYPE TINTYPE OF WOMEN WITH HAT-GUTTA PURCHA CASE Click images to enlarge Description Offered for Sale is this AMAZING Antique 1/9th plate Ambrotype / Tintype of a Young Women in a Long Coat with Hat in a Decorative Gutta Purcha Case. The image is under glass therefore I'm unsure if it's an Ambrotype or Tintype. The cheeks appear to be hand colored. The Oval Shaped mat would suggest this image was from the 1840's to 1860's. This Early Photo would be a Great Addition to any Antique Photograph Collection. Note: I am not an expert when it comes to photographic images. I have done my best to describe what I see when viewing the image. Please view all the pictures to confirm my description of the photos and cases are accurate. Photo Size Approximation: - 2" x 2 1/2" Condition: - Good Used Condition - The photo displays some minor imperfections around the outer edges of the photo (see pictures). There is some visible tarnish or staining on the mat. The Gutta Purcha Case is in Very Good Condition with only minor scattered nicking.
