Description: Very nice ambrosia eastern maple, Backs about 8.4 wide at lower bout, 22 long , sanded to about 0.185 thick Sides, 32 long, 5 wide sanded to approximately 0.160 thick, a few saw marks still present. Incredible beauty to the ambrosia lines of the backs and sides There are holes(ambrosia spots) left by the bug/ insect that attacked the tree while alive that will need to be filled in the ambrosia areas.Several holes on each plate. The pieces have been kiln dried so there are no longer any insects in the wood. In last photo, there are defects on the sides that should probably trim off most patterns due to body taper(see ruler). It might be possible to bend and fill these, but obviously better to trim away. The edges have not been jointed, as I have left them as wide as possible.
