Description: The removable oak inner block from a leather cartridge box. 10” x 2 ¾” drilled for 24 paper cartridges. Age crack and small splinters. No evidence of a tacked on leather covering indicating that it was made removable from the pouch, probably accessing a tray with flints and tinder below. Old collection number tag.
