Thumbnail (see photo for more details). Here we have an attractive matrix specimen with a cluster of light violet colored amethyst crystals from the famous Vera Cruz amethyst location in Mexico. The crystals are well-formed and sharp and they show the typical purple color zoning which this area is famous for. The crystals have a glassy luster and are gemmy. Often times these crystals contain fluid inclusions with gas bubbles. Photography All of our photos are taken with a 75Watt GE True White incandescent bulb. (unless otherwise stated).
