The saucer measures overall 4 1/2 inches in diameter while the cup stands 2 1/4 inches tall, coffee can style. The graphics depict a replica of an 18th Century Portuguese ship. That is why it probably ended up as a souvenir of this travelers world class adventures. It has survived in excellent previously used condition, free of chips, cracks or abrasions. MUCH OBLIGED
