Description: ANCHOR BREWING UNION MADE ANCHOR STEAM BEER ANCHOR TOPPED draft beer tap handle. San Francisco, California. Originally founded in 1896. Purchased in 1965. Acquired by the Sapporo brand in 2017. Now permanently closed as of spring 2023. The employees tried to buy it but the Japs wouldn't let them. Originally known for their STEAM beer. Using pale, caramel, dark and wheat malts to get their recipe just right. Anchor Steam Beer. 4.9%ABV. Pours a deep copper with a medium hop presence from a historic brewing process. Discontinued. Tap is new and remains unused. Excellent condition. It was ready to go but was not used due to closing. Flagship Anchor topping classic updated wood design. Anchor is fixed. Anchor is carved deep on both the thin sides with slots for labels on the front and back and an anchor graphic at the base. Comes with 2 Steam Beer labels. Composed of fine wood, metal and a resin. Great looking piece with a short brass ferrule. Very collectible. Stands about 11-1/2 inches tall. Tap handle has been turned and rotated so all sides are pictured.
