Description: Anchor Hocking Diplomat Style Tumblers Gay Nineties 15 oz. Clear Barware Set/6 Great set of 6 1950's Diplomat Style Gay Nineties Pattern 15 oz. Clear Tumblers manufactured by Anchor Hocking in 1949-1950. You've seen the green with white decoration and the frosted glasses with multi-color graphics but this version in clear glass is not very common. They feature black graphics with red type underneath and each tumbler depicts various means of travel from the early 1900s. This set of 6 consists of 2 glasses with the " A Bicycle for Two" design, 2 glasses with the " The Hansom" design, and 2 glasses with the "Open Sleigh" design. There was one more graphic offered in this pattern and that was the "Gas Buggy." that I do not have. This set of tumblers are on the Diplomat Shape Tumblers and were sold in set packaging to distributors so they can be bought easily as a set. The diplomat glass shape is really neat with a thick heavy base that flairs out and up to a nice thick rim. Each glass stands 5 3/4" tall and 2 7/8" wide at the top rim. They are in very good used condition free of any chips or cracks. The graphics on each are still nice and vibrant. There is some minor normal usage wear to some of the glasses but overall these tumblers for being 80 years old would be a terrific addition to your vintage barware collection and excellent holiday gift idea. Vintage and antique items have been loved and used by the previous owner so please expect for there to be some imperfections. If there are any major imperfections such as age cracks, rust, chips, etc I will do my best to list them. I will combine shipping if you buy multiple items when I can.
