Red dye was used to accent the eyes, nose and mouth, just like in actual artifacts. This eye catching carving is accented by handmade ancient looking beads. They are made to look and feel like real Mayan beads/artifacts. The beads are not perfectly polished nor are they perfectly round. This gives them a very ancient feel that doesn't involve robbing any tomb or graves! The Olmec mask measures: 70 x 56 x 20 mm This necklace hangs at 24 inches, but can expand to hang lower. All of the jadeite we use is Natural and Untreated jadeite we get directly from the miners in Guatemala.
