Opening the show with the standard, "Besame Mucho," accompanied by Flamenco guitars, Bocelli finds an appreciative audience for his brand of romantic song-styling. "Cuando Me Enamoro" is another Continental favorite that Bocelli can wrap his warmth around, like the solid pro that he is. For "Estate," accompanied by Chris Botti, he gives it a smooth reading. "September Morn," is of course one of Neil Diamond's signature songs and Bocelli easily does it justice. He is also so bold as to attempt a number by the King, Elvis that is, when he takes on "Can't Help Falling In Love." He is accompanied on the gorgeous love song by American Idol finalist, Katharine McPhee, and the pair sing it in sweet harmony as a duo. "Canzoni Stonate" features a very special if surprise guest: soul music giant Stevie Wonder lends an improvisational jazz/scat singing element and harmonica to the otherwise staid melody. "Momentos" is arranged in purely romantic bossa nova tones, while "Somos Novios" is a dramatic version of "It's Impossible," delivered in Italian and English. The disc winds down with the pensive "The Prayer," performed live as a duet with Heather Headley. The collection's second disc is a DVD, recorded live at the Lake Las Vegas show originally produced for PBS. A number of songs from disc one appear here along with nine others as well as a "making of" interview segment and photo gallery. Accompanied by his musical director David Foster and a full orchestra, Bocelli is graceful and tasteful, thrust into the center of a fabulous desert setting and yet remaining every bit the star of the show. Opening with a meditative and somber "Amapola" and building toward a finish that includes "Momentos" and "The Prayer' with Headley, Bocelli leaves the stage after he's delivered the final emotional strains of "Because We Believe," following some show-stopping visual elements and thunderous applause.
