Description: This is a new unread copy. I so love this book that I ordered multiple covers, but ordered the FOC Reveal cover 'blind' as no image had been provided to the seller to use when soliciting orders. I've decided to sell this copy because I have two others and don't much care for this cover - art is of course subjective! If you are unfamiliar with 'Animal Pound', it is anything but a funny animal humour book. It is political satire buildiing on George Orwell's ideas in 'Animal Farm' (not an adaptation), the animals of a 'pound' having seized control of it, and then wrestling with how to fairly govern their animal community. Eventually, of course, their utopian society of equals is overtaken by the realities of animal nature. Written by Tom King, the script is as riveting as you might expect, and every image by artist Peter Gross is an absolute delight. I would go so far as to say this is his best ever work, this story appearing to be a labour of love. Being unread, the book is flat, tight, smooth and sharp-cornered, with no handling wear. The reason for only grading NM- is that there are some faint marks adjacent the spine at bottomleft, possibly slight ink transfer from stacking when coming off the printing press. This comic will be dispatched backed and bagged, securely packed in a sturdy bookmailer to see it reaches you in the same condition it leaves me! I use Royal Mail rather than Evri, Yodel, or DHL. I've been collecting comics for over 50 years. In that time I've upgraded much of my collection, resulting in extra copies of many issues. In addition, there are series' I have collected which I don't feel the need to take to the grave! I am therefore seeking to reduce the size of my collection by selling off my duplicates and items no longer of interest. As a continuing collector myself, I really want buyers to be happy with their purchase, whatever condition it is in, and I always try to grade carefully, using Overstreet criteria.
