Description: In this set are 4 framed vintage Anne Worsham Richardson creations. They are spectacular for their age and each a masterpiece. There are 4 total, all matted and framed, 2 are cards and 2 are prints, all matte finish. The cards are approximately 4.5x6”. The prints are 8x10”. The frames are approximately 9.25x11”. Anne Worsham Richardson was a renowned American artist and naturalist from South Carolina. She is best known for her striking wildlife paintings. Birds were her specialty. The title and dates of these 4 classics are: Songbirds, 1971 Eastern Bluebird, 1970 Goldfinch, 1970 Winter Grosbeaks, 1972 The Songbirds prints displays a Cardinal, a White Throat Sparrow, and a Kinglet. The print itself is smaller, a card. The back of the card displays the wording, “The wildlife scene on this card is sent to you to demonstrate the beauty of nature, the need to promote an appreciation of wildlife and to encourage a greater interest in conservation and wise use of all our natural resources. Printed and distributed by National Wildlife Federation, Washington DC, 20036, 1971, #13694. The Eastern Bluebird print is also discolored, but mostly outside of the matted area, with the exception of a band at the bottom inside the matted area. On the bottom right corner of the print is the Copyright mark, 1970 by Anne Worsham Richardson, Charleston, South Carolina 29407, U. S. A. The Goldfinch is a paper print, most discoloration is outside the matting. The wording on the bottom right corner is the same as The Eastern Bluebird, including the copyright date, 1970. The Winter Grosbeak is a printed card with the same wording as on the The Songbirds above, except the date is 1972, and #13372. Each are licensed reprints, signed by the artist. Matted and framed. Ready for display. These four framed pictures are in exceptional condition for the age. Yes, there are some flaws, but to be expected. See images. Read the descriptions. Some of the paper (outside the matted area) are discolored, but the images within the matting are near perfection, except The Eastern Bluebird where there is a patch, or band, at the bottom under the signature, as noted above.
