Description: What I have here is labled in the title. It is a cast iron clock with the original paint and lacquered brass bezels and movement fully running and keeps time. This variant for this case is different than the other Ansonia cast iron clocks you will find. Typically this style would have the dial on the case sticking out from the case where as these are about flush. It has New York USA stamped on the movement and the Patent. It is running very well, The movement has been cleaned and oiled, entire tear down and reassembled. Has a hammer and a chime that strikes once for the half hour and counts how many strikes when it lands on the full hour. Typical wear and tear from over 100 years of use. The Paint has maintained itself pretty well and no cracks in the case. Comes with a general key for winding the main springs. Has the original pendulum and everything else in the picture. Clock ages anywhere from 1882-1885.
