Late 19th century with the original retail leather case. Retailed by J. E Caldwell & Co. In good condition. A pin is missing from the platform movement that reacts with the pallet fork. The winding springs are good and the pivots appear to be in excellent condition. We are not experts in clocks but we think the movement does run down and strike when the pallet assembly is removed. One of the glass panels has a chip in the bottom corner. The bell is loose. A pin is missing for the rear door pivot. The dial is in excellent condition. Comes with winding key and carry case as shown. Cased dimensions are 6" tall. 5" wide. 5" deep. Please note: the clock will be shipped with a small clip holding the pendulum leader in place.
