Description: Absolutely breathtaking Victorian French Palais Royal egg-shaped mother of pearl box on a gilt ormolu metal stand. It is dated December 6th, 1856 and is enscribed "WPV to VABL." The attached base seems to be either marble or alabaster. It is in great condition considering it is nearly 200 years old, with the only flaw that I noticed being there is a slight gap when the box is closed.
